We discuss the following biblical topics: sin and salvation, the mind of the Lord, purity Thanksgiving, Christmas: Jesus' birth, to seek and to save, the exaltation of Christ, a Christian's character, Easter: God's love complete, and Christian friends. 的 third graders also memorize weekly NIV 圣经 verses that coincide with our 圣经 stories.

Fix-It Grammar - Book 1: 鼻子树
Students learn grammar skills by finding and correcting errors in daily passages that cumulatively telling a story. 的 3rd graders will complete Book 1: 鼻子树. While completing the story, students will apply knowledge skills in context, which will help transfer grammar skills 成 their own writing. 的 following grammar skills taught with 鼻子树 是:缩进, 名词, 同音异形异义词, 结束标志, 文章, 报价, 代词, who-which 条款, 行为动词, 识别 强大的动词, apostrophes to show ownership, 帮助动词, 宫缩, 形容词, 首都, 副词, 介词, coordinating conjunctions, 条款, and comparative 形容词.

我们使用 鲍伯·琼斯 readers to focus on reading skills and comprehension for the first semester. During the second semester, we focus on four literature units. Dictionary skills and sentence writing are 合并 成 的 Mouse and the Motorcycle. 的 Iditarod is taught in conjunction with the novel 石头福克斯. 的 third graders learn about a Christian's walk with God using Pilgrim's Progress from Abeka Reading Series. Our last novel is 替罪羊. 的 third graders learn the value of true friendship in this fantasy. 我们也 compare and contrast all four novels with the movies.
Students will complete two book reports and create an in-class "published" book.

Our social studies curriculum has been developed by using the 北大出版社 curriculum and the ABeka textbook to discuss the American Revolution, the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights, the French government and revolution, western 扩张 with pioneers, the Texas/Mexico War (Alamo), the Civil War, African American heroes/heroines with a focus on Martin Luther King Jr.布克·T. 华盛顿, George 华盛顿 Carver, 哈丽特塔布曼, and an African American of their choosing, and early travel using steamboats and railroads. 我们也 study U.S. regions, physical maps, and the memorization of the 7 continents, 4 oceans, and the location of all 50 states.
Enrichment Classes:
Students attend chapel, art, computer, music, and library classes one time per week and P.E. two times per week.
